So, during the last weekend, I was with the CC (Chinese Community) Society and we made a trip up to Penang. We gathered at the hall at 12 midnight on Friday (wait, was it considered as Friday or Saturday?). Anyway, we gathered at 12 midnight to do headcount and by the time everyone got ready, it was already close to 2 in the morning. =.=
Everyone was like so energetic despite the late hour. I wonder why. Adrenaline rush? So, alot of us camwhored like crazy, and we were divided into groups just so we could fit into 2 buses. Bus A and Bus B. Guess which bus was I on? =D A total of 79 of us went mind you. Big group indeed. Hehe..
The names of the groups were like so... errr... Cartoonish? I was in the Mickey Mouse group (oh someone just shoot me) and there was a group called Winnie The Pooh. I know. The irony. Thank God there wasn't a Hello Kitty or I swear I could've gone berserk.
Bus ride was approximately 5 hours and we reached Penang Island around 7 something in the morning. First stop, Kek Lok Si Temple.
I have been to Penang with my family before and so this experience wasn't my first time. But the whole load of difference was that this time, I'm with my friends. Ah ha. =)
Yes, pictures.. Pictures...

And oh! I bought a really super neat ancient fan. The kind of fan whereby olden days princesses use to fan around. And look really demure and stuff. I bought it just for fun. Only cost me RM2.50. Cheap or what? =D Haha
Told you it's pretty. =)
I look like a ghost here. So white.
And oh, a friend of mine knocked this huge bell. According to them, you're supposed to make a wish, strike the bell three times and somehow maybe your wish will come true. Hmmm... I wish I have four flat for my CGPA. Hahaha.. Crazy.
And this pagoda was so high up I was literally perspiring by the time I got up to the top. Fuh!!

After the visit to Kek Lok Si temple, we went to Gurney Shopping Mall. It is deemed to be the biggest shopping mall in Penang.
Didn't take many pictures inside Gurney cuz I was too busy looking around. Hehe..
Ah, finally we got to check in our lodging. Sri Sayang at Batu Ferringhi area. Seaside view. Just across the building. =)
I stayed on the 24th floor and my room had the seaview.*smiles*
My housemates
My housemates and roommates =)
We went to the beach that evening for some station games but was distracted by the lapping waves and in the end, everyone jumped into the sea. Haha.. No one was bothered to play games anymore.
I didn't take any pictures on the beach cuz I didn't bring my camera. Didn't want to risk losing it what. Will try to get pictures from friends who took them. =)
The next day which was on Sunday morning, we went to a botanical garden or was it a national park? Can't quite recall as the place is lush with trees and I don't really pay attention to trees anymore since I can see alot back home. Hehe..
We headed to Queensbay Mall later that for lunch. Chose a cafe which had a theme of toilet bowls and bathtubs and toilet stuff. Hence, it's name, TBowl. =.=
Haha.. Kwong Gee pretended to have diarrheoa and I was like, okaaaaayy...
How can you not laugh? Just look at his face. =D
Anyway, the following is my lunch. The drink actually tasted quite nice despite its color. Looks like the color of toiletbowl detergent no? Like KiwiKleen or something like that. Lol
After that was goodbye for Queensbay and we went to St. Anne's Church in mainland. We were on our way back to KL actually and this church was on the way so we decided to drop by.
It's a really pretty place. A Catholic Church founded in the 1800s.
Hmmmm.. Should we climb up the stairs?..
Yes. And this is what we saw. The remnants of an earlier church.
More pictures.
Ahh... Finally the picture of us eating chicken rice at Perak. Our last stop before heading back to UM. Eh, the chicken rice was not bad. Big portions and everyone had their fill.
Later that, we headed off to KL from Perak at around 7 plus and reached UM around 11pm.
All in all, it was an enjoyable trip though it lasted only two days. Looking forward to many more upcoming events and even though I'm tired, nothing can dampen my spirits like a good ol' trip. =)
